Majority of the people on Polymarket expect the government shutdown ship-show to continue beyond 16th of November. It began on the first of October 2025, already clocking 33 days and running. This one is bound to surpass the 2018 shutdown, which lasted 35 days under who else, but, the Donald! Surprisingly, this bargaining tactic of the so called government shutdown, was started by the pervert, Billy Clinton, who invented this negotiating tactic strongly, during his 21 day tantrum in December 1995. The correct name for this phenomenon however, should be partial shutdown, because, less than half of the federal employees are told to stop working. The remaining simply continue working, with their salary delayed till the end of the shutdown.
